Galvanick taps Carahsoft to distribute OT security to US public sector
Galvanick, the Seattle-based operational technology cybersecurity company, has signed a distribution agreement with Carahsoft Technology to make its OT security platform available to US federal, state and local government agencies. Under the arrangement, Carahsoft will act as Galvanick's master government aggregator, offering the platform through its reseller ecosystem and five existing contract vehicles: NASA SEWP V, ITES-SW2, TIPS, E&I Cooperative Services, and The Quilt Master Service Agreement.
The deal matters because procurement friction is one of the persistent barriers to OT security adoption in government. By riding Carahsoft's pre-negotiated vehicles, Galvanick removes the months-long acquisition cycle that often delays security tooling in agencies that operate industrial control systems and critical infrastructure.
The platform
Galvanick positions its offering as an OT Security Operations Centre in a box. The platform passively ingests endpoint, network, infrastructure and application telemetry, correlates what it describes as thousands of potential alerts into a smaller set of fully investigated findings, and pushes enriched results to whichever SIEM the agency already operates. Endpoint sensing is implemented in user mode only, with no kernel access, which the company says makes it suitable for the constrained environments typical of industrial and operational technology settings.
The release cites Google Mandiant research claiming that 99% of attacker activity in OT intrusions occurs at the endpoint level, where network-only monitoring tools have limited visibility. Galvanick's founders are veterans of Amazon's industrial security programme and the US National Security Council. Boeing is named as a reference customer running the platform across multiple facilities, which provides a credible enterprise-scale proof point ahead of the government push.
Chief executive Joshua Steinman said that "adversaries are already inside American critical infrastructure," framing the platform's deployment speed, measured in hours, as the core differentiator against threat actors using living-off-the-land techniques to evade detection.
Regulatory and competitive context
The partnership arrives as federal logging and visibility requirements tighten. The White House Office of Management and Budget's memorandum M-26-14 raises mandatory logging standards for agencies, directly expanding the compliance surface that OT-specific tooling must address. Galvanick's correlation and SIEM-push architecture is explicitly designed to satisfy that kind of centralised-visibility mandate.
The OT security market has attracted significant investment and vendor activity over the past three years, with established players such as Claroty, Dragos and Nozomi Networks competing for the same government and industrial enterprise budgets. The sector has historically favoured passive network monitoring approaches; Galvanick's endpoint-first architecture is a differentiated positioning, though it will face scrutiny from procurement teams accustomed to network-centric reference architectures. The company does not disclose pricing or contract values.
Carahsoft's cybersecurity portfolio already spans zero-trust, identity management, cloud security and supply chain risk tools, giving Galvanick access to an established reseller and integrator network. For a startup founded in 2021, government distribution through a recognised aggregator is a meaningful route to the kind of agency relationships that typically take years to build independently. The next milestones to watch are named agency deployments and any further certification progress, such as FedRAMP authorisation, which remains the standard gateway for cloud-delivered security tools in federal environments.
