Whop brings business API to Grok and Cursor in SpaceXAI tie-up

The $1.6bn-valued platform is now Grok's first end-to-end business connector, letting users create and manage companies via natural-language prompts.

A complex silver and black scientific machine with multiple components and cables rests on a long, dark gray table in a brightly illuminated, sterile white laboratory with glass partition walls.

Whop, the internet business platform valued at $1.6bn, has announced a partnership with SpaceXAI and a new integration with AI coding environment Cursor, giving users of both products direct access to its full business API without leaving their existing workflows.

SpaceXAI has designated Whop as Grok's first end-to-end business connector. Once a user authorises their Whop account via grok.com/connectors, Grok can execute the same commands available through Whop's command-line interface: creating a website, listing and managing products, launching checkout flows, deploying ads, and even registering an LLC. Grok can also query live business data, including revenue figures, ad performance metrics, pixel data, and card spend, and surface optimisation suggestions in natural language. A parallel integration with Grok Bot allows operators to configure AI teammates capable of running asynchronous, recurring tasks with defined roles.

The Cursor integration, available now through the Cursor Marketplace under the Payments category, connects Whop's business primitives directly to the developer's coding environment. Developers building a product inside Cursor can enable payments and related infrastructure by adding the Whop connector without switching context to a separate dashboard or terminal.

"It is now possible to create businesses at the speed of thought," said Steven Schwartz, chief executive and co-founder of Whop. "Whop centralises your website, your payments, and your distribution, so you can just focus on the ideas."

The announcements extend a series of API integrations Whop has shipped in recent months, including Whop CLI, Whop Cards, and connector partnerships with Replit, Poke, and Cal.com. The company reports that users on its platform collectively earn more than $5bn annually across 145 countries.

Market context

The move situates Whop squarely in the emerging category of AI-native business operating systems, where the interface layer is the large language model rather than a conventional web dashboard. A growing number of software vendors are publishing model context protocol (MCP) servers and agent connectors precisely to capture workflows being automated by tools such as Cursor, Replit, and Grok. Whop's strategy, exposing every business primitive as a public API endpoint, is well suited to this pattern: an agent that can call a create-checkout endpoint is functionally equivalent to a human clicking through a setup wizard.

The integration with Grok is notable because SpaceXAI's user base skews toward early adopters and technically sophisticated operators, a natural overlap with the creator-economy and indie-software audiences Whop has historically served. Competitors in the managed-commerce API space, including Stripe's business toolkit, Lemon Squeezy, and Paddle, have not yet announced comparable Grok or Cursor integrations, giving Whop a short-term positioning advantage in that channel.

Competitive and regulatory context

Whop disclosed in its release summary that it carries backing from Tether, the stablecoin issuer, which has signalled an intention to route stablecoin payment flows through the platform. That relationship adds a layer of regulatory complexity: stablecoin payments in the UK and EU are increasingly subject to electronic-money and crypto-asset frameworks, including the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation and the UK's ongoing Payment Services regulatory review. Enterprise buyers evaluating Whop as a payments layer should factor in the compliance trajectory of any stablecoin settlement rails.

The company did not disclose revenue, a breakdown of the $5bn annualised payout figure between GMV and net revenue, or the terms of the SpaceXAI partnership. The $1.6bn valuation figure originates from the PR outreach rather than the formal release and has not been independently verified here.
