Parmenion relaunches adviser dashboards to tackle tax complexity
Parmenion, the Bristol-based investment platform, has launched redesigned adviser dashboards as part of a broader programme to help financial advisers navigate growing complexity in tax and legislative requirements. The update, released on 29 June 2026, shifts the platform's primary view from individual accounts and wrappers to a consolidated client-level perspective.
The company, which manages £17.8 billion in assets under management and administration across more than 1,400 adviser firms, says the new dashboards allow advisers to see how a client's assets are distributed across tax wrappers at a glance. Enhanced pension visibility, including the ability to distinguish crystallised from uncrystallised positions, is among the headline additions, alongside beneficiary tags, ISA allowance tracking and wrapper reference data within portfolio detail views.
What changes for advisers
The redesign reflects a structural shift in how retail investment platforms are positioning themselves. Rather than organising information around product type, Parmenion has reorganised the interface around the individual client, which the company says reduces the number of navigation steps required when advisers move between different layers of a portfolio.
Sarah Lyons, Chief Customer Officer at Parmenion, said: "As advice evolves and legislation and tax rules change quickly, we will keep working to make sure the Parmenion platform addresses the changing needs of advisers and clients." The company attributed the timing of the update to shifting tax considerations that are affecting a broader cohort of clients, a reference to changes in UK inheritance tax treatment of pension assets and evolving capital gains thresholds that have increased adviser workload in recent years.
Further releases under the same programme are said to include smarter cash management, simplified asset movements across wrappers and portfolios, and improved support for multi-pot retirement strategies. No delivery timeline was provided for these additional features.
Market context
The UK advised platform market is intensely competitive, with Parmenion competing against well-capitalised peers including Transact, Nucleus, FundsNetwork and Quilter's Wrap platform. Usability and workflow efficiency have become prominent battlegrounds as advisers face rising regulatory expectations under the FCA's Consumer Duty regime, which requires firms to demonstrate good client outcomes and to maintain clear audit trails of advice decisions. Platforms that can surface client-level data quickly reduce the administrative burden on adviser firms, a factor that weighs heavily in platform selection and retention.
Parmenion's claim that control of its own technology stack enables faster feature deployment is a meaningful competitive differentiator in this market, where several larger rivals operate on legacy systems or rely on third-party technology providers that impose longer release cycles. That said, the release does not include any performance data, user satisfaction scores, or named adviser firms that have piloted the new dashboards, making independent assessment of the claimed usability improvements difficult at this stage.
The company was founded in 2007 and serves more than 77,000 underlying clients through its adviser network. Investors and prospective adviser partners will be watching for the delivery cadence of the promised follow-on features as a signal of the platform's product velocity.
