DataAgent exits stealth with $10m pre-seed and SRE platform
DataAgent, a Tel Aviv-based startup founded in January 2026, has emerged from stealth with the simultaneous launch of its autonomous site-reliability platform and the close of a $10 million pre-seed round. The round was led by MizMaa Ventures and Alicorn Venture Partners. Proceeds will fund commercialisation and go-to-market hiring in North America.
The company is co-founded by Ishay Yaari, CEO, and Nati Shalom, CTO, who previously worked together at Cloudify, a cloud orchestration vendor acquired by Dell in 2023. DataAgent currently employs 15 people and is recruiting sales and marketing staff across the United States and Israel.
What the platform does
DataAgent positions its product as a "Digital Immune System" for cloud-native applications, operating as an AI-native autonomous SRE layer above Kubernetes and connected infrastructure. Rather than routing fault alerts to engineers for manual investigation, the platform reads live system state, topology and configuration drift directly inside the customer's own cluster, identifies the root cause of an incident, and applies a guardrail-controlled fix before initiating deeper analysis offline.
The design has a direct financial rationale. Conventional observability platforms require customers to ship a second copy of their telemetry, logs and metrics to a vendor's cloud for indexing and analysis. According to a 2025 Observability Survey cited by Grafana Labs, observability spending now averages 17% of total compute infrastructure costs. DataAgent's in-cluster architecture means telemetry never leaves the customer environment, which the company says can reduce observability spend by up to 90%. The platform is designed to sit alongside existing monitoring stacks rather than requiring a rip-and-replace migration.
"The industry has spent 15 years building better ways to watch production and charging more for it every year," said Nati Shalom, Co-Founder and CTO. "Our platform and agents act where the data already sits, restore health first and earn autonomy one fault class at a time."
The platform incorporates an open-source agent that can be deployed standalone at no cost, with a paid SaaS tier for fleet management and orchestration. DataAgent says this model is designed to address enterprise resistance to running closed-source software inside production environments.
Market context
The autonomous remediation category is drawing increasing interest as engineering teams face escalating observability bills and alert fatigue from tools that surface faults without resolving them. Established vendors including Datadog, Dynatrace and New Relic have all introduced AI-assisted investigation features in recent releases, but DataAgent argues these represent AI copilots bolted onto a reactive data-ingestion model rather than a fundamental architectural shift. A number of well-funded startups are pursuing adjacent approaches to AIOps and self-healing infrastructure, making the space competitive at the early stage.
DataAgent's data-sovereignty argument, that telemetry never leaves the customer's cluster, also speaks to a growing regulatory concern. Under GDPR and sector-specific frameworks such as DORA, which applies to financial-services firms in the EU from January 2025, organisations face stricter obligations around where operational data is processed and stored. An in-cluster deployment model reduces the compliance surface for enterprise buyers in regulated industries, which may prove a meaningful differentiator as the company targets North American enterprise accounts.
The company's next milestones will include publishing named customer wins and quantified MTTR benchmarks. The $10 million pre-seed is a notable raise for an Israeli infrastructure startup at this stage; investors will expect a Series A within 18 to 24 months if North American traction materialises.
