Zero Networks appoints ex-Noname CFO Dagan to lead scale-up push
Zero Networks has appointed Yossi Dagan as Chief Financial Officer as the automated microsegmentation vendor moves from start-up to scale-up phase and broadens its go-to-market reach. Dagan brings roughly 20 years of finance leadership at high-growth security companies, most recently as CFO of Air Doctor. He previously held the CFO role at Noname Security, which was acquired by Akamai Technologies, and guided Top Image Systems through an IPO that also involved Imperva.
Benny Lakunishok, co-founder and chief executive, said Dagan "brings exceptional financial leadership and a proven track record of helping technology companies navigate periods of rapid growth, global expansion and transformation." Lakunishok described the appointment as part of a broader effort to execute against what the company characterises as a significant commercial opportunity in enterprise microsegmentation.
Wider leadership build-out
Alongside Dagan, Zero Networks has made three further executive appointments. Dror Bereznitzky joins as Vice President of Product Management from Lightrun, where he was Chief Product Officer. He previously worked at JFrog, supporting the DevOps platform's growth to approximately $200 million in ARR and its subsequent IPO. Eyal Levi takes the VP of Engineering role, drawing on engineering leadership positions at Amazon, Intel and Amobee. Jason Chaplin, the incoming VP of Sales for the Eastern region, arrives from Illumio, where he was Regional Vice President, and held senior roles at Netskope, Akamai and Check Point.
The hires signal that Zero Networks is building the commercial infrastructure needed to pursue larger enterprise accounts and a more structured channel partner programme, though the company did not disclose revenue, ARR or headcount figures in its announcement.
The vendor's 2026 Lateral Movement Exposure Report, produced in-house, claims that 80% of enterprise servers are reachable from anywhere inside a typical corporate network, a finding it uses to illustrate the attack surface that identity-driven microsegmentation is designed to close. Zero Networks says it currently protects 15 Fortune 500 organisations across financial services, transportation, manufacturing, energy and healthcare.
Market context and competitive landscape
The network microsegmentation market is one of the more active corners of the zero-trust security space. Illumio, Guardicore (acquired by Akamai), Trellix and Zscaler's private-access layer all compete for the same budget lines, and the category has attracted sustained venture and strategic investment as ransomware and lateral-movement attacks continue to drive procurement urgency.
Analyst recognition cited in the release includes a five-star rating in the 2026 Gartner Peer Insights Voice of the Customer for Network Security Microsegmentation, a Leader and Outperformer position in the GigaOm Radar for Microsegmentation, a KuppingerCole Overall Leader designation for Zero Trust Platforms, and a Strong Performer ranking in the Forrester Wave for Microsegmentation Solutions in the third quarter of 2026. The Forrester report is quoted noting customer praise for "speed of deployment, ease of operation, responsiveness to feature requests, and the calibre of technical support."
Recent product additions include agentless microsegmentation extended to operational technology, IoT and Kubernetes environments, a Network Map 2.0 visualisation tool and a Kubernetes Access Matrix designed to limit blast radius at scale.
With a CFO experienced in both IPO processes and acquisition exits now in seat, and a VP of Sales sourced directly from a principal competitor, Zero Networks is building toward a likely financing event or strategic transaction over the medium term, though no timeline or target has been disclosed.
