Striim and Infomedia partner on real-time data modernisation for LATAM
Striim, the Palo Alto-based real-time data integration vendor, has announced a channel partnership with Infomedia, a Mexico-headquartered enterprise technology services firm. The agreement gives Striim a locally accountable distribution and delivery partner across Mexico and wider Latin America, while Infomedia adds a managed change data capture (CDC) and streaming platform to its existing Oracle and GoldenGate practice.
Under the arrangement, Infomedia will handle the full delivery lifecycle: assessing a customer's existing data estate, designing a modernisation roadmap, migrating legacy batch pipelines, and providing ongoing support in Spanish by in-region teams. Striim's platform underpins the technical layer, capturing change data continuously from Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and other operational databases, then streaming it, transformed and enriched in flight, into cloud data warehouses and AI workloads.
The deal
Phillip Cockrell, SVP of Business Development at Striim, said the partnership is designed to help enterprises "move off legacy batch processes and onto a real-time foundation that's ready for the cloud and for AI." Gustavo Rincon, Head of Business Development at Infomedia, described the combined offering as enabling customers to "build agile, AI-ready data platforms that drive innovation and business growth."
The joint solution is aligned to Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, with co-sell and marketplace motions intended to simplify procurement. No deal terms, minimum revenue commitments, or customer counts were disclosed. The partnership is available immediately across the LATAM region.
Striim says its platform processes more than 100 billion events per day at sub-second latency, though the release did not provide independently verified benchmark data for those figures.
Market context
The real-time data integration and CDC market has become increasingly competitive as enterprises accelerate cloud migration and AI initiatives. Striim competes against a broad set of vendors including Qlik (via its Attunity acquisition), Informatica, HVR (now part of Fivetran), Arcion, and hyperscaler-native services such as AWS Database Migration Service and Google Datastream. Oracle's own GoldenGate, which Infomedia already supports, is a direct incumbent technology that the partnership is partly designed to complement or displace with a cloud-first alternative.
Latin America represents a notably underserved geography in the enterprise data modernisation market. Large-scale Oracle deployments are common across financial services, retail and public-sector organisations in Mexico, Brazil and beyond, and many of these estates have been slow to move given downtime risk and a shortage of locally available specialists. A partner with in-region delivery capability and Spanish-language support addresses a genuine gap that pure-play vendors based in the US or Europe have historically struggled to fill.
Regulatory and compliance considerations
Enterprises modernising data infrastructure in Mexico must navigate data-localisation requirements under the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), as well as sector-specific obligations in financial services regulated by the CNBV. The partnership's emphasis on in-flight sensitive-data protection and in-region delivery is relevant to those compliance requirements, though Striim and Infomedia did not specify certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 in the release, nor address whether data processed through the platform leaves Mexican jurisdiction.
As AI adoption deepens across the region, the pressure on enterprises to retire overnight batch jobs in favour of continuous, low-latency data feeds is likely to grow. Striim's ability to convert existing Oracle and GoldenGate deployments into streaming pipelines, rather than forcing a full rip-and-replace, gives the partnership a pragmatic pitch to risk-averse IT leadership teams in the region.
