Platinum Analytics receives Nasdaq delisting notice, plans appeal

The Singapore-based FX software developer said Nasdaq issued a delisting determination on 7 July and it intends to appeal before the Hearings Panel.

Platinum Analytics Cayman Limited (PLTS) has disclosed that Nasdaq's Listing Qualifications Department issued a Staff Delisting Determination against the company on 7 July 2026, citing its discretionary authority under Listing Rule IM-5101-4. The company, which develops FX trading software and data analytics tools for financial institutions across Asia and other emerging markets, said it intends to contest the decision through a formal appeal.

The company's securities are currently subject to a trading halt under Nasdaq Rule 4120(a)(5), which will remain in place for the duration of any automatic stay or further stay granted by the Panel. Under Rule 5815(a)(1)(B), a hearing request for a delinquent filing stays the suspension for only 15 days from the hearing-request deadline, unless the Hearings Panel grants an extension.

The appeal process

Platinum Analytics said it will submit a written statement to the Hearings Panel setting out its legal arguments and requesting a finding of full compliance with applicable listing standards under Rule 5815(c)(1)(E). The company acknowledged there is no guarantee the Panel will rule in its favour.

The Staff Determination was issued under Nasdaq's discretionary authority rather than a specific numerical deficiency (such as a minimum-bid-price or market-value-of-listed-securities breach), which typically indicates the exchange has concerns about corporate governance, the adequacy of public disclosures, or the integrity of the listed entity. Platinum Analytics did not specify in its release the underlying grounds for the determination.

Market and regulatory context

Nasdaq delistings and associated trading halts have become a recurring feature of the small-cap technology sector, particularly among companies that completed US listings via the IPO or direct-listing route from Asia-Pacific jurisdictions. Regulatory scrutiny of disclosure standards and audit quality for such issuers has intensified since the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) secured access to audit working papers in mainland China and other markets under the 2022 Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act.
