QTREX Quantum wins government order for shielded RF components

The Nasdaq-listed Israeli firm has begun production of custom shielded RF monolithic parts for an unnamed international government-owned company.

QTREX Quantum (Nasdaq: QTEX) has received a commercial purchase order from an unnamed international government-owned company for customised shielded RF monolithic components, and says production is already under way with delivery expected within days. The Israel-based firm manufactures the parts using its proprietary Additively Manufactured Electronics (AME) platform, which integrates conductive, dielectric, and shielding functions within a single monolithic structure.

The order follows an extended testing and qualification process in which the customer evaluated component samples. QTREX says a key selection criterion was the high repeatability of the components' dielectric properties, a performance characteristic that is particularly demanding in the cryogenic and high-frequency environments found in quantum computing hardware. The customer has signalled interest in additional quantities and a follow-on programme, though QTREX stressed those would be subject to separate purchase orders and approvals.

The deal

Yoav Rozanovich, Chief Business Officer of QTREX Quantum, said the order validates the company's approach to application-specific manufacturing. "Our ability to move rapidly from qualification to customised manufacturing and delivery within days demonstrates that QTREX is not only developing advanced technologies, but also converting them into commercially deployable products," he said.

The company positions this as a strategic shift in its commercial model, moving from platform development toward direct component supply. QTREX's AME technology is intended for integration into dilution refrigerators, quantum processors, and advanced RF control systems, placing it in the hardware layer that sits below the qubit itself but is critical to system stability and coherence.

Market context

The quantum computing hardware supply chain is attracting growing attention from government buyers and defence-adjacent procurement agencies, particularly for components that require controlled electromagnetic performance in extreme environments. Dilution refrigerators operating near absolute zero impose stringent constraints on every material and interconnect used inside the system, creating a niche but high-value market for specialist component suppliers.

QTREX competes in a broader landscape of advanced electronics manufacturers targeting quantum infrastructure, including established cryogenic component vendors and a growing number of startups developing low-loss interconnects, RF filters, and thermally stable substrates. The company's AME approach, which uses additive manufacturing to achieve precise geometric and material control, is positioned as an alternative to conventional machining and assembly methods that can introduce variability at scale.

The company's decision not to name the government customer limits independent verification of the contract size or technical scope. Investors and analysts will be watching for a named follow-on order, disclosed contract value, and further customer diversification beyond a single anonymous buyer.

Regulatory considerations

Government-owned buyers in the quantum hardware space frequently operate under export-control frameworks. QTREX is headquartered in Israel, and cross-border supply of advanced RF and electromagnetic components to government entities can engage US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) dual-use licensing requirements, as well as equivalent Israeli defence export regulations. The release makes no reference to relevant export licences or compliance clearances, which editors may wish to query before publication.

QTREX also maintains a medical technology portfolio covering respiratory support and blood monitoring. The company has said it is actively working to monetise parts of that business, suggesting a longer-term pivot toward quantum and defence hardware as its primary commercial focus.
