NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ: NXPI) has announced that its board of directors has approved an interim cash dividend of $1.014 per ordinary share for the second quarter of 2026. The payment will be made on 9 July 2026 to shareholders of record as of 24 June 2026.

The Eindhoven-headquartered chipmaker said the decision reflects the continued strength of its capital structure and the board's confidence in long-term cash generation. NXP posted revenue of $12.27 billion in 2025 and operates across automotive, industrial, IoT, mobile and communications infrastructure markets.

Tax treatment

Shareholders should note that the dividend will be subject to Dutch dividend withholding tax at 15 percent. Non-Dutch resident holders may be eligible for a full or partial refund depending on their individual circumstances and applicable tax treaties. NXP advises shareholders to consult a tax adviser if uncertain about their position.

The company said the distribution forms part of its ongoing capital return programme. No further detail on future dividend cadence or share buyback activity was included in the release.
