VirtualDojo taps Carahsoft to distribute CMMC compliance platform
VirtualDojo, a quoting and contract management platform built for federal value-added resellers (VARs) and government contractors, has signed a distribution agreement with Carahsoft Technology to reach the US public sector market. Under the arrangement, Carahsoft will make VirtualDojo's platform available through its reseller network and across a broad set of existing procurement vehicles, including NASA SEWP V, ITES-SW2, NASPO ValuePoint, TIPS, OMNIA Partners, E&I Cooperative Services and The Quilt.
The platform is hosted on Google Cloud's FedRAMP-authorised infrastructure and is positioned by the company as Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliant, giving contractors a compliance-ready foundation as the Department of Defense continues phasing CMMC requirements into contracts across the Defence Industrial Base (DIB). The company did not disclose pricing, the number of existing customers, or contracted annual recurring revenue.
What VirtualDojo does
VirtualDojo handles the full quoting and contract lifecycle from request for quotation (RFQ) intake through to contract award. Designed to be CRM-agnostic, it connects to existing business systems rather than requiring a rip-and-replace of sales tooling. The company's pitch is consolidation: many federal resellers still manage quotes and compliance obligations across spreadsheets and disconnected point tools, and VirtualDojo aims to replace that patchwork with a single workflow environment covering multiple contract vehicles simultaneously.
Devin Henderson, co-founder of VirtualDojo, said the Carahsoft partnership would let the company "reach the resellers and integrators who need faster quoting and clearer compliance the most," adding that he had personally run a SEWP prime contract before founding the company.
Alex Whitworth, CMMC Solutions Executive at Carahsoft, framed the deal as a response to sustained demand from federal agencies and resellers for tools that cut through procurement complexity while meeting tightening security mandates.
Market context and regulatory backdrop
The CMMC programme has been a long-running source of compliance overhead for the roughly 220,000 companies in the DIB. After years of delays and rule revisions, CMMC 2.0 requirements are now being incorporated into DoD contracts on a phased timeline, creating an urgent upgrade cycle for contractors who previously relied on self-attestation. That compliance pressure has opened a meaningful commercial window for specialist platforms.
Carahsoft's role as a master government aggregator gives VirtualDojo immediate access to an established channel that already services thousands of public sector end-users. Distribution through vehicles such as SEWP V and ITES-SW2 is practically a prerequisite for federal software sales, removing a significant procurement friction point for buyers constrained to approved contract vehicles.
The competitive landscape for government-focused quoting and compliance tooling includes both large CRM vendors that have added public sector modules and a growing cohort of niche platforms built specifically for the federal VAR channel. VirtualDojo's CRM-agnostic design and deliberate focus on the reseller tier rather than end agencies is a differentiated positioning, though its durability depends on how quickly larger platforms extend native CMMC workflow support.
What to watch
The next visible milestones for VirtualDojo will be named agency or integrator customers, published CMMC assessment documentation, and any revenue figures that substantiate traction within the Carahsoft channel. The broader CMMC implementation timeline, including any further rule adjustments from DoD, will set the pace of market demand. For now, the Carahsoft partnership provides distribution infrastructure; execution against the DIB compliance upgrade cycle will determine commercial outcomes.
