Toronto selects Aurigo Masterworks for real estate capital management
The City of Toronto has signed a multiyear agreement with Austin, Texas-based Aurigo Software, deploying the vendor's Masterworks platform as the city's enterprise Capital Portfolio and Project Management system. The contract covers Toronto's Corporate Real Estate Management (CREM) division, which oversees a real estate portfolio the company describes as one of the largest and most diverse in Canada.
Toronto invests more than one billion dollars annually into civic infrastructure, spanning fire stations, shelters, community centres, and libraries. The city had been seeking an enterprise-grade platform capable of managing that capital programme at scale, including multi-year planning, funding allocation, risk and change management, contract administration, and executive reporting within a single environment.

Aurigo Masterworks will function as a single source of truth for CREM, providing dashboards and analytics accessible to senior leaders, programme managers, and project teams alike. The platform includes scenario analysis tools, portfolio prioritisation features, and AI-driven risk surfacing that the company says is designed to flag slipping projects before problems become irreversible.
Balaji Sreenivasan, Aurigo's chief executive and founder, framed the core value proposition in practical terms: "On a portfolio that size, the hard part is knowing which projects are slipping while there's still time to fix them. Aurigo Masterworks gives the City of Toronto one system for the whole portfolio, with AI agents that surface that risk early instead of at the end."
The deployment will sit within CREM's broader Enterprise Asset Management and Capital Planning and Delivery Framework, which is designed to connect asset planning, capital investment decisions, project delivery, and financial stewardship across the organisation.
